Sponge factory explains sponge rubber is a porous elastomer material, commonly known as foam rubber, foam rubber or microporous rubber, it is a general term of all kinds of rubber with hole structure. ASTM D1055 and ASTM D1056 define and classify latex sponge and dry rubber sponge respectively, and develop a routine physical properties testing method. The standard defines that the holes of this kind of porous material should be all over the whole material. According to the different hole structures, they can be divided into three types: closed hole (the hole is not connected with each other), open hole (the hole is not completely separated from each other by the wall of the hole, with a certain degree of cohesion) and mixed hole (both open and closed structures). Therefore, the sponge factory considers that the microporous rubber mainly includes expansion rubber and sponge rubber. Due to the different usage habits, the meaning of "sponge rubber" in domestic scientific and technological literature does not distinguish the opening and closing mechanisms of foams. 1. Classification of cellular mechanisms: closed-cell microporous rubber and open-cell microporous rubber;

2. Classification of foaming ratio: low foaming (apparent density (> 0.5g/square centimeter) and high foaming (apparent density < 0.5g/square centimeter);

3. Classification of rubber matrix: NR rubber, SBR rubber, DPDM rubber, NBR rubber, silicone rubber sponge, rubber and rubber sponge, rubber and plastic sponge, etc.

4. Performance and performance classification: soft sponge, hard sponge, micro-bubble sponge, conductive sponge, magnetic sponge, water expansion sponge, composite sponge, etc. Compared with solid rubber, sponge rubber has many special and valuable properties due to its structural particularity, i.e. porosity.

Therefore, sponge rubber products are widely used in many aspects, such as sealing, shock absorption, heat insulation, sound insulation, printing and dyeing, and ion exchange. They are widely used in aviation, automobile, instrument, household appliances and packaging industry. Its shape is plate, strip, tubular, roller, washer and so on, with various specifications and shapes. Different operating conditions require different hole structures and aperture sizes. Therefore, the sponge factory should adjust the formulation design and processing technology to achieve the corresponding performance.
